My profile

Let me tell you, Couchsurfing is a whole new world of adventure! During my recent trip to Bangladesh, I met some of the most incredible people through Couchsurfing. My first host, Emrul, was like a real-life genie who gave me the key to his flat and let me explore the city like a local. We roamed around Dhaka, trying the street food, and even dancing with the locals in the streets.
And the food! My next hosts, Rashed and Saleh, were the ultimate foodie duo. They took me on a culinary journey in their dinner table itself, introducing me to traditional Bengali dishes and the hidden gems of the local food scene. I also met Ashikur, a student at Dhaka University, who showed me around the city's historical structures and gave me some real insider tips on where to shop and dine.

But not every experience was perfect. My host in Moulavibazar turned out to be a real-life nightmare. He was a gold digger who asked me to pay for everything and was just plain immature. Thank goodness for Couchsurfing, I messaged another host, Kajal, who connected me with Shuvra, an awesome host at the Sylhet Engineering College hostel. I also met another Couchsurfer, Himu, who showed me around Sylhet and even introduced me to some local craftspeople.
Through Couchsurfing, I had the chance to connect with locals and immerse myself in their way of life. We shared meals, cooked traditional dishes, and shared stories about our different cultures and backgrounds. We talked about everything from politics to music to the best places to see in their city.
Exploring the city with my hosts was also an incredible experience. They knew all the hidden gems, the best places to eat, and the must-see sights. I felt like a true local, getting to see the city from a different perspective and learning things that I never would have known if I had stayed in a hotel.
So, if you're a solo traveler looking for adventure, don't hesitate to try Couchsurfing. It's a fun and unique way to explore the world, make meaningful connections with locals, and create some unforgettable memories along the way. Just remember, when life gives you lemons, message Kajal and make some sweet new friends!
